The Surrender.The battle is over
the fight is lost.
The war has been won
but now I am merely
a prisoner of war.
Unjustly held, unfairly treatd
left to whither and die.
No victors, no rejoicing
only a return to what
'they' think is normal.
And I am left alone to cry...... sent in by a member
| || You are a woman of fair.|
For you. the oppression can disappear
You are a flower having smart scent in the park,
You are my candle in the dark.
You dignify me as a respectful man,
I put you in my eyes as long as I can.
I can surrender to you as you have white heart,
To marry you, we are one unit
We can't be a part.
You smile for me, I feel the world smile,
You are natural, you can't use any device.
You always advise me 'for Allah, you must fear'
Faith and honesty you make me gear
I have put a crown on your head,
For great tasks you did.
| || When no word remains with me, |
Long enough to call my own,
And it is as soon repeated
As away from me flown,
I ask myself,
Was it my invention?
I might strike the proper note
And set the air quivering
With heart-ache's antidote
But love has wings to fly,
Scarcely a moment on earth,
Fluttering things take to the sky,
Dabbling the air with mirth...
You cannot capture one
Or joy will soon run away,
But you may hold in your palm,
A feather pricked today...
If love seems out of sight,
Recall a tune or a word,
Sliding down an aura of light,
A tremor from a bird...

My quiet Spirit is something that I always keep within
Sometimes you are judged by it and you just can’t win
A quiet spirit many times will keep people away
They will talk about you and act as if things are okay
So for me, my quiet spirit will also act as my protection
I am ok with who I am and I am not open to correction
Whether you are a quiet spirit or one that is outgoing
Embrace the way you and just keep right on flowing!

Alone Edgar Allan Poe
From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were- I have not seen
As others saw- I could not bring
My passions from a common spring-
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow- I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone-
And all I lov'd- I lov'd alone-
Then- in my childhood- in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still-
From the torrent, or the fountain-
From the red cliff of the mountain-
From the sun that 'round me roll'd
In its autumn tint of gold-
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by-
From the thunder, and the storm-
And the cloud that took the form
(When all the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.
Michael R. Anderson [1/90]
Response to: "Alone", by Edgar Allan Poe.
I, too, was born of a world not the same,
Amongst white snow, a raindrops' shame.
In life's garden, a dormant seed.
A heart held of dissimilar need.
I, too, was awed by lightning's flash,
Embering in mind even after the crash.
Followed closely by silent rain,
Blood-red, falling from the sky in vain.
The wind chimed and the earth shook from thunder,
And my mind was but befixed to wonder;
How could I stand amidst this storm,
Seek shelter not, yet still seem warm?
But I, too, take my sorrow at a site-
Other souls would nonchalantly slight.
And I, too, have felt the need for love,
But could only love that need which I dream t of.
And as I peered deep through the skies,
The clouds grew black to shut my eyes.
The demon that came in your view,
Now's taken from me what he took from you.
In the garden the seed has sprang,
A nameless child unearths the pang.
Felt for the flower, both eyes in close.
Took twenty thorns to touch the rose.
A wondering mind looked to the sky,
So beautiful it had to die.
Laid it to rest upon the stone,
And turned away a man full grown.
Singing the same song at a different tone,
In thoughts, destined to die, unknown.
Born unto a world not of our own,
We walked together, walking alone.
